Sneak Preview: The *Morocco Blue* Necklace Duo

Last week, I promised you colour...and this week, I'm delivering!

I have been hard at work creating pieces for my soon-to-be-opened Etsy store.  How soon is entirely dependant upon how quickly I can make enough stock! LOL (A store with only a handful of items looks rather sad, I think...)

So from time-to-time, as my collections come together, I will be giving you a sneak preview of what you can expect to see in my store.

Here is the first preview, The *Morocco Blue* Necklace Duo...

You may recall my original Morocco Blue pendant, inspired by the famed 'blue' city of Chefchaouen in Morocco.  The original was a gift for my Mum, but I received so many wonderful comments about it that I just had to make another!

Sterling silver, Bali silver, AAA gemstones...I have used only the best quality materials here.

The necklaces can be worn together or separately (and they are dainty enough for every day wear)...or even mixed and matched with the other vibrant pendants from my Moroccan collection.

I have been contemplating whether to patinate the silver, to give it that wonderfully antiqued look.  What do you think?  Do you prefer shiny silver or patinated silver?  I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Stay tuned for more previews coming soon ;-)

Thanks for looking, and be well!

  2. Love the deep blue. And your new style of photos are looking great.
Good Luck with the Etsy store, sounds like it is a fair bit of work to get it going. You have a unique 'Belinda' style and I think that is so important in setting up a store, has people coming back for more, so much better than a mish mash.
Look forward to reading how it all goes.

  3. Thank you so much, Kristen...YOU are awesome! :-D I think I'll offer both shiny and patinated versions, just to keep everybody happy ;-)

Thanks Nita :-) Yes, it is a lot of work, no doubt about it! But for me at this point in life, with two kids until three, it is far easier to simply sell my jewellery over the internet rather than go to markets or sell via retail outlets. I'm so happy to hear you say that I have a unique 'Belinda' style...I think that is just about the best compliment a designer can receive! Thank you so much -xo-

  7. I know what you mean, Nicole ;-) I just LOVE cobalt blue...it is so rich and attention-grabbing. I'm definitely inspired to try steampunk after reading your blog post...are you working on something for the contest? I hope so, I'd love to see what steampunk inspires in you :-)

Thank you so much Heroilda! :-)

Thanks Triz, I really appreciate your comments (particularly as you are a Etsy veteran, so to speak!) I'll take your advice and offer both versions, just to keep everybody happy. Variety is the spice of life, non! ;-)

  8. It's a lovely piece, indeed, to suppliment your Etsy stock! And as for the necklace, in my opinion the patinated silver looks better :)
