My creative space...

I feel as though I am being pulled in so many different directions at the moment...creatively speaking.

Sometimes I wish my Muse would switch off, or at least take a nap for a little while.

I'm working away on my collections, but my Muse also yearns to create something epic, something laborious and time-consuming...

...and also get back to bead embroidery...

...and also crank up the torch and try some silversmithing...

...and...

...and...

...and...

Do you ever have so many things that you want to do but don't know where to start?

*le sigh*

I put this down to the fact that our big move from Perth to Melbourne (a mere 3,000kms, give or take) is only about six weeks away, so I'm a bundle of nervous energy right now...desperately trying to cram in as much creating as possibly before my entire studio is packed away into uninspiring brown boxes.

*le sigh*

Rant over, thanks for listening.  You're the best :-D

Here's a little something I've been working on for my *Moroccan Odyssey* collection...

It has been dark and rainy all day today, so I had to take these hideous photos with my daylight lamp...blerk!

The gemstones are smoky quartz and the MOST beautiful AAA grade yellow chalcedony...

...it's like a little ray of sunshine... *le sigh*

  1. Gasp!!! This is stunning and epic to be sure! I chalk up the muse issues to crafting ADD! Thanks so much for your comments on my blog! You will be showing pic of the new home won't you? It is so exciting and stressful thats why I haven't moved for almost 14 years (plus I love my little house)

    Hugs Always

Your move is probably a big factor, Bit of a distance for you and I loathe the packing up of the house, :(

  4. Kristen, this is definitely NOT the kind of epic I had in mind...by epic, I'm talking about 30-40 hours work ;-) But alas, that will have to wait until after our move...there just aren't enough hours in the day at the moment! And yes, I think I have crafting ADD too LOL

    Thanks Heroilda :-)

Tracey, thanks for the lovely words! I'm really OVER packing (even though I'm getting pretty good at it after all this moving LOL). I'll be happier once it's all over and we're settled in :-)

Thank you Louise, I'm really enjoying combining metal and beadweaving at the moment. Thanks so much for stopping by my humble little blog, you're welcome anytime!

  5. Well Belinda, I absouletely know this feeling - I mean when you have thousands of tasks to do but no time at all... Oh, I always get frustrated :( I keep wishing I had more than 24 hours a day - at least the double - but in vain :)

Are you really moving? Wow! That must have been a big decision to make! Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

And as for your new necklace, it is brilliant! It's really like the Sun in the middle! Absolutely perfect!

    Lots of love, Niki

  7. Oh Niki, I wish that there were more than 24 hours in a day too...we could get so much more accomplished couldn't we! Yes, we are really moving...AGAIN! We have only been living in Perth for a year. It feels like we are never anywhere long enough for the dust to settle ;-) Thanks for lovely comments Niki, as always! B. -xo-
